Frequently asked questions

What does Kronophia do that my calendar doesn't?

You say "I paid five hundred dollars for the Rome hotel, already booked it" and Kronophia handles three things at once: it logs a USD 500 expense under Lodging, marks the task "Book the hotel" in the Rome trip space as done, and suggests the check-in on November 3, which you never said: it takes the date from the trip and asks whether that's the one, instead of inventing it. A calendar knows nothing about money, and a finance app knows nothing about your calendar.

Is my financial data safe?

  • Two-factor. It's optional, and Kronophia will suggest it. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, your provider supplies it.
  • Your password isn't stored. What's stored is a bcrypt hash, which can't be reversed. Nobody can read it, us included.
  • Encrypted at rest. Sensitive fields are stored encrypted, not in plain text.
  • Isolated per account. Each account sees only its own. Tested with tests that try to break it.

Does Kronophia connect to my bank?

No. It reads the emails your bank sends you, if you turn that on and choose which senders. There's no banking password, no login, it can't move money. Turn it off whenever you want.

Can I take my data out whenever I want?

Yes, and it isn't a favor: it's a rule of the product. Your data is yours and you export it whenever you want.

Do I need internet to use it?

To understand what you say and save it to your account, yes. Kronophia installs from the browser as an app and opens even with no signal, but processing your voice and syncing needs a connection.

What will it cost?

There's no price yet. Kronophia is in private beta and nothing is charged. When there is a price, it will be published here before anything is charged.
